journal of across canada bike tour

Welcome! It's a Journal of Across Canada Bike Tour in 2003.

The Trans Canada Highway runs from Victoria, British Columbia, across 4,849-mile =7821km to St. John's, Newfoundland. We started at Mile 0 in Victoria 27th June and arrived in St. John's 22nd September. It was 58 riding days and 27 days off. It was a fantastic experience.
I would like to share information from this trip and I hope it will help your "Bike across canada"!

British Columbia

We spent all day going up hill at second day. On the way up it was rainy and very cold.
.

Alberta

Alberta has nice road & shoulder and also beautiful Mountains in west. Prairie lands cover east and centra.

Even biking with millions of grasshoppers, you gonna love flat green wheat field stretching ahead to the horizon.

Manitoba was the last Prairie Provinces which big meal country and always 2 bottle of beer by order.

It is hot and lots of humidity. The TCH is one of the few roads cutting through the thinly populated northern Ontario wilds.
